Constitution of Natunatta AttoSamajik Jubo Unnoyon Songstha (NAJUS)
Chapter 1: General Description of the Organization
1.1 Name of the Organization:
Natunatta AttoSamajik Jubo Unnoyon Songstha (NAJUS)
1.2 Nature and Type of the Organization:
It is a non-profit, non-political, voluntary, and social development organization. It will operate as a registered entity under the Government of Bangladesh. The organization will work towards youth development, skill enhancement, employment creation, and social welfare activities.
1.3 Headquarters of the Organization:
Dhaka, Bangladesh (Branch offices may be established in different districts as required.)
Chapter 2: Goals and Objectives
2.1 Goal:
To build a developed and self-sufficient nation by engaging the youth of Bangladesh in self-reliance, skill development, and social development activities.
2.2 Objectives:
- Provide educational, professional, and technological skill development training for the youth.
- Support entrepreneurship development and small business formation.
- Increase employment opportunities for young individuals.
- Enhance youth leadership and social awareness.
- Conduct workshops on freelancing, digital marketing, and technology.
- Promote women’s empowerment and gender equality among youth.
- Improve youth's physical and mental well-being through sports, culture, and creative activities.
- Implement environmental conservation, health awareness, and social development programs.
- Organize entrepreneurship fairs to support young entrepreneurs.
Chapter 3: Membership of the Organization
3.1 Eligibility for Membership:
- Must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must respect and uphold the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Must pay the annual membership fee.
3.2 Categories of Membership:
- General Member: Actively participates in the organization’s activities.
- Lifetime Member: Gains membership by providing a one-time fixed donation.
- Honorary Member: Awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the organization.
- Affiliate Member: Temporarily involved in specific projects or activities.
3.3 Cancellation of Membership:
Membership may be canceled if:
- The member violates organizational policies.
- Engages in unethical or misconduct.
- Fails to pay membership fees for three consecutive years.
3.4 Termination of Executive Membership:
The executive membership may be revoked if:
- The member is involved in anti-national or anti-organizational activities.
- The Executive Committee holds the authority to revoke membership.
- Absent for three consecutive executive meetings without a valid reason.
Chapter 4: Structure and Management of the Organization
4.1 Executive Committee:
The Executive Committee will consist of 11 members, including:
- President
- Vice-President
- General Secretary
- Assistant General Secretary
- Treasurer
- Organizing Secretary
- Office Secretary
- Two Executive Members
4.2 Responsibilities of the Executive Committee:
- Supervising and managing organizational activities.
- Policy formulation and decision-making.
- Approval of financial transactions and budget.
- Arranging the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
4.3 Executive Committee Elections:
- The Executive Committee will be formed through elections every five years.
- Elected members will lead the organization.
- The existing committee will remain in charge until the new committee is elected.
4.4 Annual General Meeting (AGM):
- An Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held once a year.
- Review organizational activities, approve new projects and budgets.
Chapter 5: Funding and Financial Management
5.1 Sources of Income:
- Annual membership fees.
- Donations and grants.
- Support from government and non-government organizations.
- Fundraising events and projects.
- Training fees for entrepreneurship and skill development programs.
5.2 Financial Management:
- A bank account will be maintained for financial transactions.
- Transactions will require signatures from the President, Treasurer, and General Secretary.
- At least two signatures are required for a transaction, but the General Secretary’s signature is mandatory.
- Annual audits will be conducted to ensure financial transparency.
Chapter 6: Discipline and Code of Conduct
6.1 Code of Conduct:
- All members must act with honesty and integrity.
- Members must not engage in any activity that harms the organization’s reputation.
- Organizational resources cannot be used for personal gain.
6.2 Disciplinary Actions:
- Written warnings may be issued.
- Membership may be suspended or revoked.
- Legal actions may be taken for severe violations.
Chapter 7: Amendments and Dissolution
7.1 Amendments to the Constitution:
- The constitution may be amended with the approval of the Executive Committee.
- Amendments require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote in the General Meeting.
7.2 Dissolution of the Organization:
- If dissolved, all assets and funds will be utilized for public welfare.
